For the protection of the environment, different rules must be respected concerning the management of hazardous materials. By definition, a hazardous material is any material that, because of its properties, presents a danger to health or the environment, such as:

  • Disposal of hazardous household waste in eco-centers
  • Smoke detectors
  • Composite materials: waste management
  • Materials for dismantling and surface contamination
  • Computer and electronic equipment
  • Toxic material as defined in the Hazardous Materials Regulations
